Independence Day in kindergarten
This luxurious assortment with organic vegetables and cheese brightened up our holiday breakfast. In general, we were planning an Independent Picnic and invited our parents to participate - prepare and decorate treats for the children: sweets, vegetables and fruits. And our mothers and fathers (probably still mothers) tried so hard that there was enough delicious food for a picnic, and for breakfast, and for an afternoon snack) And yet, let’s return to the holiday morning.

It's no secret that kids are not always ready to eat vegetables and cheese. But not on our holiday occasion. The assorted dish (prepared by Daniel S. and his mother) captivated everyone, and the little gourmets insistently demanded “kebabs” - we put cheese on a skewer with a flag or an olive, and some asked for everything at once. In general, the number of children who nibble our vegetables is growing and growing. I think that this is all “for the company” - curiosity wins. And a reminder to parents: not to give up - but to offer their children new foods from time to time - not to eat, but at least to try. What if you like it?

Here are Elani's chocolate sponge balls. The greatest pleasure for children is to cook something with their mother, especially if they know that this is a treat for colleagues in kindergarten. Antokha and I also baked cookies for his kindergarten - sand stars of David - here is the recipe for the dough. And we also added roasted walnuts ground in a blender. They turned out crispy! The recipe is simple.
After breakfast, the travel game “Independence Day” began. Our senior teacher Alena has prepared a whole program for the children. For each letter of the congratulatory inscription!??? ??????? ??? (this means “Joyful Independence Day”) a task was prepared - with a code word that began with this very letter. For example, “map” - it was necessary to show on the map the Dead Sea (the saltiest and lowest sea in the world), Jerusalem, Eilat. It turns out that kids are great at finding their way around a map, they just need to practice regularly. It seems to me that my excellent geography teacher Nina Mikhailovna Samorukova would simply be proud of our geography chicks! They are great (without unnecessary modesty).
There were songs and photo riddles: using a photograph to determine what kind of corner it is in Israel (the children recognized the Dead Sea, Netanya, Mount Hermon in the north of the country). And musical, dance and theatrical jokes performed by Alena. It was a real holiday!

We also proposed creating a gallery of children’s travels around the country. It was necessary to find in the home archive a photograph of a child or the whole family during walks and trips around Israel. And prepare a short story about where they were and what they did. In general, even children find it difficult to speak in front of a large audience. It was a wonderful practice. The guys proudly showed everyone their photographs, talked about the place where they vacationed, what they liked there, what they did... The parents who were able to write comments on the photographs greatly helped both us, the teachers, and the little speakers themselves. Sometimes we read mini-stories, sometimes we just asked questions, and the child answered. The result was a whole week of traveling around the country and a bright map - the result of everyone's efforts.
Every trip for our kids is a bright event, an opportunity to learn something new and then share it with the children and teachers. Therefore, on the Independence Day of our country, we wish us all more travel - Israel is so unique!

Another task in our game is joint photography. This is not an easy task for a photographer. Fidgets cannot freeze even for half a minute - everything is in motion.

While our models were playing, we were preparing a long-awaited picnic. More precisely, our parents cooked, and we served. For those who read us outside of Israel, let me clarify that our fathers and mothers work very hard: the official working day in the country lasts 9 hours. Also add travel time, extra hours of work and only 1 full day off per week. And with this wild schedule (often without the help of grandparents), parents find time for such beauty!

It was so delicious and festive! Thanks to support, effort and joint efforts - like everyone else in Israel!
The flag cake was from Ariel B-P., the smile cake was decorated by Daniel S. (last year he and his mother treated everyone to a cake with a flag made from coconut shavings). And the school cake with flags is from Liam.

Finally, our handsome guys were invited to a picnic buffet. They poured treats into cups, sat on benches, nibbled, returned for treats... And then it was the turn of cakes - this is where they let their souls go!

We thank all our parents who helped us organize such a solemn and at the same time family home holiday, for all the pleasant little things (napkins, balls, flags, decorations; for the carrots and apples peeled and cut with such care and love; for the magical cupcakes of Miri and Ariel V. - we ate them for an afternoon snack, and also Dima’s cake and whole sets of goodies from many, many fathers and mothers, forgive me for not writing all the names).
