Differences between the program and its features
An ancient technique is used to work with preschool children. Origami classes in the preparatory group are held according to the “Origami Country” program. During classes, the child gains the following skills:
- Improves fine motor skills when working with crafts.
- Learns techniques with paper, learns to repeatedly fold, bend, cut, and glue.
- Develops eye, constructive thinking, creative imagination, artistic taste.
- Concentrates while listening to verbal instructions.
- Trains your memory by remembering the sequence of actions step by step.
- Activates mental activity.
- Learns to work in a team and establish communication with peers.
In the process of making crafts, children learn new shapes, colors, and simple geometric figures. There is an acquaintance with new terms: square, triangle, angle, side. Training fine motor skills of the hands improves brain performance, develops the thought process, and prepares the child’s hand for writing. Working with both hands activates the two hemispheres of the brain. At the same time, creative abilities develop.
Origami helps with delayed speech development. It has been scientifically proven that in case of severe speech disorders, exercises aimed at training the fingers are useful for a child. Children develop coherent speech and expand their vocabulary. Future schoolchildren use synonyms, antonyms, adjectives in their speech, and learn the art of dialogue and monologue.
Children love to work with paper and achieve positive results. A caring attitude towards crafts made independently is formed. Painstaking work builds perseverance and prepares for school.
