dandelion drawn with a pencil, step-by-step instructions
First, decide on the future drawing, it will be:

  • dandelion on a stem surrounded by flying seeds
  • blooming and closed bud of a plant on stems surrounded by a pair of leaves
  • dandelion with a fluffy head and blooming on stems around which three or more leaves are located

Next, prepare:

  • thin lead pencil
  • paper
  • eraser

Step by step draw a dandelion like this:

  • draw a small oval-core of the future dandelion with seeds, a larger circle for a flowering plant, a medium-sized oval for drawing a closed bud;
  • Draw one or two parallel stem lines from him/them downwards. Remember that dandelions have a curly character;
  • draw a circle around the core, outline the jagged petals of the open flower, draw lines of leaves and their tips near the closed bud;
  • Draw small teeth around the outer circle of the fluffy dandelion. These will be the tops of its aerial seeds. If desired, add a few loose fluffs on one side that seem to be flying through the air. To do this, draw dots and thin stems from them;
  • on the core of a dandelion with ripe seeds, place many dark dots, on a blossoming flower, shade darker the leaves of the stalk that have withered, and on a closed bud, highlight the lines of shadows on the leaves and more clearly the ends of the petals;
  • For dandelions with seeds, add their thin stems coming from the core and a light web of their tops. To do this, draw short rays from the middle in all directions;
  • display shadows on the stems by shading the darker areas;
  • start drawing leaves from the line of the core or outline their general oval;
  • symmetrically draw relief protrusions on the leaves, reminiscent of a Christmas tree. Expand the leaves towards the bottom and reduce their shape;
  • if you started drawing leaves not from the middle line, then add it as the final touch to the work.

Step-by-step instructions for drawing a dandelion with a pencil

The dandelion (the drawing for children over 10 years old should be detailed) should be drawn with sharply sharpened pencils so that the lines are thin and graceful. The picture shows 2 stages of flower development at once: a bud and an inflorescence with seeds. You also need to draw a plant leaf with large teeth.

Sketch

Drawing should begin by marking the contours of the flower. For this you need a hard pencil.

Procedure:

  1. Draw 1 vertical line from the center of the sheet from bottom to top. It should not be straight, as if drawn with a ruler. On the contrary, you need to make it smooth, slightly curving. This is the base of the dandelion stem. These flowers do not grow straight. Their stems bend from the weight of the inflorescences and take on a curved shape.

  2. Draw 1 more line nearby. This will be the 2nd stem for another inflorescence. It can be drawn shorter or longer than the first one. It is important that the stems at the bottom come out from 1 point, and at the top they diverge in different directions. The distance between their pinwheels should be such that the flowers drawn next do not intersect with each other.
  3. Draw a 3rd line on the opposite side. It should be a little shorter than the previous 2. Its top needs to be taken away from others.

  4. The last line drawn is the middle of the dandelion leaf. Now you need to give it a shape, marking wide teeth on both sides, as well as a sharp top.
  5. Above 1 line indicate the shape of a fluffy hat with seeds. This should be done with thin, intermittent strokes.
  6. Above the 2nd line draw the shape of an unopened bud.

A sketch helps to maintain the correct proportions and correctly position all the small details in the drawing. When creating a sketch, you should not put pressure on the pencil. The lead should barely touch the paper and leave almost imperceptible marks.

When all the details are drawn in the picture, the lines made with a hard pencil will need to be erased. If the sketch is rich and clear, it will be difficult to remove it. The result will be a messy drawing.

Detailing

All details must be drawn with a hard-soft pencil.

Procedure:

  1. Next to each line that imitates the shape of the stem, you need to draw 1 more parallel line. It is important that it follows all the curves. The distance between these lines should be small. They are needed to make the flower stem voluminous.

  2. Draw sepals on the tops of the stems. They don't have to be straight either. Let the petals bend and twist in different directions. There should be 3-4 petals on 1 sepal.
  3. Where the shape of the bud is indicated, you need to draw folded leaves, and at the top the protruding ends of the petals.
  4. There will be a cap with seeds above the 2nd stem, so first you need to draw the core of the flower. It is oval in shape and protrudes above the surface of the sepals.
  5. Now from this core you need to draw many small lines of different sizes. They should stick out in different directions.

  6. Using a hard pencil, draw fluff to the top of each line.
  7. Above the fluffy hat you can depict flying seeds that have calved from the flower. First, draw a line, add fluff on top, and draw an elongated seed below using a soft pencil. The seeds should fly in different directions.

  8. Draw veins on the leaf of the flower.

The connection of the stems below can be covered with painted grass. Remove all extra lines with an eraser.

Hatching

To make the drawing look three-dimensional, you need to depict shadows. They are applied with strokes using a soft pencil.

Procedure:

  1. Shade the area under the flower.
  2. Apply horizontal strokes to 1 side of the stem.
  3. Mark the shadow under the sepals.
  4. Darken the middle of the sheet.

Gently rub all the strokes with your fingers. To shade the pencil inside the stem, you can use a cotton swab.

dandelion painted with watercolor
dandelions will appeal to children and adults because they can easily mix paints and adjust the drawing at their discretion.

For example, learn a couple of techniques with:

  • wax crayons
  • gel pen and pencil

In the first option, on a blank sheet of paper, draw the skeleton of the future dandelion, namely a stem, leaves, flowers and/or a fluffy umbrella.

In the second - when the work is dry, draw clear lines of the stem, peduncle, buds, and umbrellas of the dandelion with a pen.

To make your work light and airy, use large salt crystals. It absorbs wet paint and leaves white spots on the canvas.

DANDELION Didactic manual. Senior group. Educator: Papchenko

Didactic manual for joint educational activities with children of middle and senior groups Purpose: To expand knowledge about the natural world. Objectives: To give an idea of the structure of a plant and the functional purpose of individual parts using the example of a dandelion. About seasonal changes in plant development. Technologies: Use of technical teaching aids. Health savers. Personality-differentiated approach St. Petersburg GBDOU 1122

Meet the dandelion “The dandelion wears a yellow sundress, and then dresses up in a white dress. Light, airy, obedient to the wind" S-Pb GBDOU 1123

Part 1. Structure of a dandelion Flower Stem Leaves Root S-Pb GBDOU 1124

Purpose of its parts The root is long, thick, with many thinner roots, and receives nutrition (microelements and water) from the soil. Holds the plant in place S -Pb GBDOU 1125

Leaves In spring, under the rays of the sun, leaves are the first to grow from the dandelion root. They absorb carbon dioxide (harmful to humans) gas from the air and release oxygen, without which life on Earth is impossible St. Petersburg GBDOU 1126

Stem with bud A few days later, a bud rises on a thin stem above the dandelion bush. The flower will open only on a clear sunny day St. Petersburg GBDOU 1127

Dandelion flower A dandelion flower is a set of small flowers pressed closely together. If you smell the flower, your nose will turn yellow. This is pollen - a fine powder necessary for pollination and seed formation. Inside the flower there is nectar S -Pb GBDOU 1128

Pollen (Pollination) The nectar of any flower attracts many insects: bees, butterflies, beetles... An insect lands on a flower to drink nectar and gets dirty in pollen. Having sat on another flower, it shakes off the pollen of the first flower - pollination occurs S-Pb GBDOU 1129

Seeds By summer, the dandelions turned white. These are parachute seeds that change the color of a dandelion S-Pb GBDOU 11210

Reproduction “Young and golden, in a week he became gray, and after two days his head went bald. I’ll hide it in my pocket…(dandelion)” Gusts of wind will scatter the seeds - dandelion parachutes are far around. The wind will subside and they will fall to the ground. In this place next year a new dandelion will grow S-Pb GBDOU 11211

Part 2. Seasonal development of the dandelion, its connection with the environment In early spring, under the rays of the sun, the root that had wintered in the ground comes to life St. Petersburg GBDOU 11212

S-Pb GBDOU Dandelions bloom all spring; the leaves appear first. After a few days, buds and flowers stretch towards the sun on thin stems. Flowers open only on a clear sunny day.

Cloudiness, precipitation As soon as there is a cloud or rain, the dandelion flowers close up. St. Petersburg GBDOU 11214

Rain St. Petersburg GBDOU This is how a dandelion protects pollen, without which there will be no seeds. The rain may wash it away.

Drought Dandelions wither and droop in drought, but as soon as it rains and waters the plant, the dandelion leaves straighten and the flowers open towards the sun St. Petersburg GBDOU 11216

Atmospheric phenomena But as soon as the cloud leaves and the sun comes out St. Petersburg GBDOU 11217

It’s clear again How the dandelion leaves straighten and the flowers open. Dandelion has become beautiful again St. Petersburg GBDOU 11218

Summer By mid-summer, dandelions fade, and the seeds - parachutes - are carried by the wind far around St. Petersburg GBDOU 11219

Autumn And by the end of summer the dandelion has faded, its foliage has faded St. Petersburg GBDOU 11220

Winter By the time the first snow falls on the ground, the dandelion will only have one root, strong and thick. The thicker the root, the easier it is for the dandelion to overwinter. Well, just like a bear St. Petersburg GBDOU 11221

dandelions painted on the wall
If you like to experiment and decorate the interior of your home yourself, paint some flowers/fluffy dandelions on the wall.

At the preparation stage, pay special attention to the choice of brushes for painting. They should be different in the thickness of the drawing part.

Sequence of work:

  • draw the outlines of the future drawing with a simple pencil, highlighting the stems and head;
  • Apply paint to the stems with a thick brush;
  • with a thin brush, mark the stems of the seeds on the head of the dandelion and next to it, giving the design the effect of a blowing wind;
  • With the third brush, place many dots around the air head of the plant. They will be seeds that break off and fly through the air. Remember that there are more of them near the dandelion and fewer as they separate from it;
  • For the aerial seeds, add thin legs and umbrellas. The rays of the latter are directed in different directions and resemble the sun;
  • draw similar umbrellas on the dandelion’s head;
  • Around the stems under the fluffy heads of the plant, use a thin brush to paint 4-5 s-shaped leaves.
