Mathematical quest “Looking for Simka” for pre-school children

Children play in a group, minding their own business. (Guests quietly enter the group, greet the children, and sit down). Nolik runs in.

Educator: “Oh, guys, some strange guest has come to us! Who is this?" (children's answers)

Nolik: “Guys, I’m looking for my friend Simka, who suddenly disappeared, again she made something up, have you seen her?” (children's answers)

At this moment, a message comes from Simka via Viber: “Nolik, I decided to play with you and hid in kindergarten in group No. 9 “Rings” (Children read with Nolik).

Nolik: Guys, what is the name of your group? (children's answers), at this moment another message comes: “To find me, you and the children must collect cubes with numbers from 1 to 15 and put them in order.”

Nolik: Guys, where can I get these cubes with numbers?

Educator: Cubes with numbers are hidden in our group, but in order to find them, you need to assemble a card from the parts that you will receive for each correctly completed task. On the resulting map you will indicate the place where the cubes are hidden.

  • Guys in the group there are pictures with cartoon characters you know, go to the hero you like. Now you are a team! (thus, the children are divided into three teams).

Each team must complete the following task: “Write the adjacent number.” (Each child in the team is given a card, the children complete the task, as soon as the whole team has completed the task, the children join hands and raise them up, the teacher checks the correctness of its completion).

Each team receives a piece of the card and gives it to Nolik.

  • Guys, those who have red in their clothes go to the red pin, blue ones - to the blue pin, and those who have neither red nor blue in their clothes go to the green pin. Now we have new teams!

Each team must complete the following task: “Create a problem and write a solution.” (Each team is given a card, the children complete the task, as soon as the whole team has completed the task, the children join hands and raise them up, the teacher checks the correctness of its completion).

Each team receives a piece of the card and gives it to Nolik.

  • Guys, there are pictures of geometric shapes hanging on the walls, go to the shape you like (each team must name the shape and answer why they chose it). We have new teams!

Each team must complete the following task: “How many in total?” In this task you need to count the number of objects and circle the correct number.

Each team must complete the following task: “Make a picture from geometric shapes and come up with a name for it.” (Each team is given a set of geometric shapes, children make a picture, come up with a name).

  • Well, now guys, let's divide into teams of girls and boys! (children are divided into groups). New teams again! Let's play Dominoes!

Educator: “You received all the pieces of the map from me, now you must put it all together! On the map you will find the location of the cubes! (children make a map and look for cubes).

Educator: “Now you can put them in order, and you’ll probably find Simka.” (Children with Nolik lay out cubes in order with numbers from 1 to 15 in the large-sized outdoor game “Tag”.

The teacher checks the correctness of the completed task, fanfare sounds, and Simka jumps out. Nolik thanks the children for their help, and Simka invites everyone to warm up and relax. (Motor warm-up “Fixies”).
