Application “Autumn tree” made from pumpkin seeds
In order to create this work, you will need:
- sheet of cardboard
- paints
- glue
- pumpkin seeds
- tree stencil
The first step is to create the autumn leaves. This application involves the use of pumpkin seeds, which are previously painted in different colors. It is advisable to use yellow, orange and red colors.
Coloring can be done with both paints and felt-tip pens. On a sheet of paper you need to draw a barrel with paint or use a stencil. Then the work will be more accurate. Now all that remains is to glue the leaves to the tree.
The work is ready.
Fabric and textiles
Fabric appliqués are used to decorate home interiors and create unusual and original compositions. The best materials for the creative process are those that do not require additional processing, but you can use different textures and textures:
- soft fleece and thin felt; if desired, they can be replaced with inexpensive viscose materials, especially if the crafts will be made for a kindergarten or school;
- cotton and cotton fabric (jeans), they require certain processing, they can be combined with other materials, decorative decorations;
- satin and grosgrain ribbons; flowers are most often made from them using the kanzashi technique, skillfully combining colors and shades and creating voluminous and decorative flowers.
When creating decorative appliqués, you need to choose high-quality textiles that will highlight the impeccable composition. Floral installations made using the appliqué technique are suitable for decorating clothes and creating stylish accessories that even well-known brands and manufacturers do not offer.
Family tree making technology
If you want to try something new in your work, then I suggest you do some applique work in the form of a family tree. In this case, it is advisable to make the crown of the tree whole; voluminous leaves are not suitable here. In this photo they look very sloppy.
What will happen on the crown depends on your imagination. You can stick apples on which children will write members of their family (suitable for a preparatory group) or flowers. You can also ask parents in advance to bring photographs of family members in the form of small circles. Such a craft can even take pride of place in the living room and become a family heirloom. There are a lot of options, choose depending on the age of your students.
Volumetric product
It will require white sheets, glue, colored paper (thick) or cardboard, and a glue stick. We will decorate with a purple felt-tip pen.
Let's cut out 7 squares.
Fold each square diagonally, then 2 more times diagonally.
This results in a triangular element.
We mark it and cut it.
This is what the expanded template looks like.
We paint them with a felt-tip pen, leaving 2 unpainted ones on each flower.
We cut off one of them.
Glue the petals together to make the flowers three-dimensional. Additionally, we press through all the fold lines again.
We assemble the workpiece. We place one with the sharp corners up. We glue 2 more blanks onto the side petals on each side. New elements are marked in red, and the lower part is marked in green. Next in the master class we mark with red dots those on which we glue new parts.
When gluing is completed, we cut leaves from double-sided paper - 4 large and 4 small.
Glue them onto the workpiece as shown in the photo. We turn over the remaining 4 molds and fix them on the reverse side. For clarity, we took sheets with one white side. The leaves should face each other with their colored side (so that when they open, everything looks right).
Glue it onto cardboard or thick paper folded in half. We fix only the outer petals (marked with a red dot).
Wait for the work to dry. It turns out to be a beautiful three-dimensional craft.
Application “Autumn tree” made of autumn leaves
To work you will need:
- autumn leaves,
- cardboard with a silhouette of a tree,
- glue.
It is advisable to use bright colors of cardboard, so the tree will be more noticeable.
For work, you need to choose beautiful and undamaged dry leaves. They are cut into strips. To continue the task of appliquing autumn leaves, you need to prepare glue and a brush. The branches of the tree are coated with a brush. Dry leaves are placed on these branches. All that remains is to let the work dry.
Autumn forest applique made from cotton pads
This technology is perfect for children aged three years and older. Since the disks are quite large, this method is more suitable for single trees. Prepare red, orange and yellow paints. For this craft, it is better to use gouache, as watercolor will give lighter colors.
Paint 10-15 discs and dry. You can paint with a brush or dilute the paints and drip from a pipette. If you use several colors on one disk, the colors will mix with each other and give new shades, which will allow you to more fully convey the color scheme of autumn.
Glue the barrel onto a sheet of paper and painted cotton pads on top.
What materials can be used for creativity?
Real and artificial flowers accompany a person throughout his life, decorating it and bringing notes of joy and comfort into it. A simple craft or three-dimensional composition made using the appliqué technique will become a real masterpiece if a piece of the soul of the person who made it is put into it.
Every child can cope with a simple task, and an experienced craftsman will not need much time to realize the most sophisticated idea and repeat an unusual design, provided that the materials are chosen correctly.
Other materials
Beautiful appliques that can be used to decorate style accessories are created from genuine leather and leather-replacing materials. Floral appliqués made from foamiran look no less original; three-dimensional parts can be made from it for decorative flowers, baskets and decorations for interior items.
From thin wire twisted into a spiral, blanks of petals and leaves are made, intertwined with woolen threads. The yarn is used for crocheting or knitting flowers, after which, using the appliqué technique, you can create interesting compositions and floral decor.
Crafts and appliqués made from pieces of multi-colored leather, connected to each other by gluing or stitching, look elegant. They are used to decorate clothes and shoes, bags and belts, and are great for creating stylish jewelry such as headbands and hair clips.
Autumn forest made from rolled strips of paper
Prepare an autumn background for the application and determine the location of the trees on the sheet.
Three-dimensional trees can be made in three ways.
The first method: cut strips of 1x5 centimeters from colored paper in autumn shades. We glue each strip into a ring, the colored side out. Glue the resulting rings sideways onto the trunk in a chaotic manner. Try to glue so that the joint line is hidden at the bottom.
Second method: Cut a strip of paper 1.5x20 centimeters and wind it in a spiral around a pencil. Make 10 spirals in this way and glue them to the paper, placing them like rays from one point in the center of the trunk.
Glue smaller leaves on top of each spiral. Leaves can be cut out using a template or punched out with a hole punch.
Third method: willow or birch. Cut out many strips of 0.5 x 20 centimeters and screw them very tightly onto a toothpick so that you almost get a tube. Draw a willow or birch trunk with drooping branches. Glue the resulting spirals to the ends of the branches.
Amazing paintings
Flat applique is the simplest version of creating an original panel of dried flowers. All parts of a dry plant can be used: shoots of various curves, leaves, inflorescences, seeds.
The base for the applique is often covered with fabric or painted with watercolors.
Thick cardboard quite often acts as a similar base for small crafts, since it has excellent adhesion to any glue and is well processed with various paints.
Often, burlap is used at the base of the picture, which is used to cover the canvas. Many craftsmen use this material based on its environmental friendliness. Such applications are suitable for beginners who love floral art.
